Helloooo everyone!
So, I’m sure the majority of you are no stranger to the
brand Morphe by now, being supported by some of the biggest influencers out
there – they always have a tonne of online presence. However, if you haven’t
heard of the brand, they’re most well known for their affordable brushes and
eyeshadow palettes which are some of the best on the market.
Today I’ll be reviewing their newest edition, the 24G Grand
Glam palette.
How much?
£29 – but there are
many affiliate codes out there to save 10% off (which is what I did)
Where from?
The 24G is exclusive to Morphe’s website, which now ships to
the UK – yay!
What makes it so
special?
The pans are jumbo size compared to usual, so you can use
some of the shades to bronze and highlight your complexion as well.
I ordered my palette from here when it launched on the
16th Jan and it arrived on the 18th, so I wasn’t waiting
long at all! I busted the parcel open straight away and the packaging was so
lovely, Morphe have recently stepped up their game with making their products
look as good as they perform, and it makes such a great difference.
I got playing around with the shades and swatched a few of
my favourites:
Top to bottom:
Glazed • Dream • Spiffy • Frenchy • Boxy • Magic • Sunshiny•
The eye look I created was a simple khaki green number,
placing Creamer down first as my transition colour. I then popped Spiffy more
precisely in my crease to frame the eye and add a bit of warmth to the look.
For the khaki shimmer I mixed Chewy and Richest and popped it over the whole of
the lid. I then added Brew on the outer-v of my eye to deepen and slightly smoke
out the look. I finally added Glazed to my inner corner and on my brow bone for
an extra pop. I experienced no fall out whatsoever whilst using these on my
eyes, so bonus point from me.
Then on to the face. On the back of the packaging it recommended
some shades for highlight and bronzer, so I gave it a whirl. First, I mixed Frenchy
with a little bit of Baked to create my ideal bronzing shade. ABORT MISSION. The
pigment was too intense, clung on to my foundation and went super patchy, so I
quickly had to fix it with my usual bronzer. I then thought it would be fun to
try Flirty as my blush which actually paid off really well! I would definitely use
it as a blush again, but you need a very light hand as the pigment in these
shadows are so rich. I then used Glazed and Crystal as my highlight shade and
with a damp brush this gave me the most stunning glow!
So, the main question;
Worth it?
I would hands down say the 24G is worth parting money for. The
concept of a one-and-done palette is so innovative from Morphe and I love it,
not to mention it is fairly priced. The only downside for me was not getting
use of it as a bronzer because the formula was so intense, but they still work as
killer eyeshadows! The pigment in these pans are to die for and can be great
whether you’re a beginner or very experienced with make-up. I can tell that I’m
going to be reaching for this one a lot in my collection – especially for the
highlight!
